The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will perform routine maintenance on the MD 231(Hallowing Point Road) bridge over the Patuxent River at the Calvert/Charles County line on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
Maintenance crews will clean the bridge deck (riding surface) between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.
One lane of the two-lane bridge will be closed, and crews will direct traffic using a flagging operation. Drivers should plan extra travel time during work. Customers who have questions may contact the District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 800-331-5603.
