Dustin Hunter Disney, 28, of Chesapeake Beach, has been charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense after an alleged incident at the Rod ’N’ Reel Resort in Chesapeake Beach on June 21, 2026. Disney was arrested on June 23, 2026, after a warrant was issued the previous day.

According to allegations filed in court, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office was called at about 9:35 p.m. for a report of a sexual assault in the parking garage of the Rod ’N’ Reel Resort on Mears Avenue in Chesapeake Beach. A security supervisor reported that a female was saying she had been sexually assaulted at the bar, and Disney was identified as the suspect. Authorities said Disney, who also goes by Hunter, had already left the area before deputies arrived.

Deputies said the adult victim told investigators they met Disney at the bar inside 1936 Bar and Grill, where they were spending time with friends and taking shots. The victim said they later went outside to smoke and Disney joined them. While outside, Disney allegedly touched the victim’s butt and thighs and tried to reach under the victim’s skirt. The victim also said Disney pushed his body against them and bit their neck and lips hard enough to leave a bite mark.

The victim told deputies, he made crude comments and said, “He kept getting closer to me and just like kissed me.” After returning inside and sitting at the bar, the victim said Disney was “touching my inner thigh again, he did go pretty deep into my inner thigh.” When asked to explain, the victim said Disney’s hand went up their skirt and toward their upper inner thigh near their private parts.

Investigators said the victim and Disney went outside a second time to smoke, where Disney allegedly grabbed the victim’s neck to kiss and bite it. Disney also allegedly bit the victim’s ear. The victim told deputies they were uncomfortable during the interactions and said they told Disney “no” numerous times. Deputies said an earlier investigator observed marks on the victim’s throat, though the victim did not lose the ability to breathe and declined emergency medical services.

Workers at the restaurant also gave statements to deputies. One worker stated, “Hunter (Disney) is banned from multiple bars because he’s so weird and probably did stuff there,” and also said, “he started making out with her face for like probably 30 seconds.” The worker further stated, “the girl ran downstairs, and we all assumed it was because she was upset.” Another worker said, “I noticed however that when he leaned, she didn’t,” and also stated, “I saw him lean in to kiss her neck and hair.”

Deputies said they tried to locate Disney at his home and at nearby businesses but did not find him that night. They also attempted to find him at a residence on Calvert Towne Road in Prince Frederick, where another person allegedly said Disney was not there and refused to tell deputies where he was or discuss what happened at the bar. Investigators said photos of the victim were taken and that the restaurant reported having security cameras at the bar.

At Disney’s initial appearance on June 23, 2026, he waived an attorney for that hearing and requested a preliminary hearing, which was scheduled for July 21, 2026, in Calvert District Court.

He was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond. As conditions of release, Disney was ordered not to commit any crimes, to appear in court, not to intimidate or contact the victim, not to enter or be near Rod ’N’ Reel Resort, and to complete an evaluation with Calvert Behavioral Health and follow all recommendations.
