Calvert County Man Arrested In Harford County for Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor

Investigators from the Maryland State Police Child Exploitation Unit charged a Calvert County man with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The accused is identified as Jurel Daquone Leo Bowman, 32, of Lusby, Maryland. He is charged with six counts of sexual solicitation of a minor. He was arrested by Maryland State Police shortly before 9:00 p.m. yesterday without incident and transported to the Harford County Detention Center where he is currently held without bond.

Beginning in November 2025, the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force initiated an investigation into the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Yesterday evening, the Maryland State Police Child Exploitation Unit, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Harford County Sheriff’s Office, served an arrest warrant on Bowman at his place of employment in Harford County. He was transported to the Harford County Detention Center for processing.

The Maryland State Police Child Exploitation Unit coordinates the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. This is a combined law enforcement effort involving police departments across Maryland that is made possible in part due to grant funds provided by the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention, Youth and Victim Services and by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Task Force investigators focus on identifying those involved in child pornography via the Internet and other related crimes that victimize children. The investigation continues.
