Nekiyah Phip Fletcher, 26, of Lusby
Nekiyah Phip Fletcher, 26, of Lusby, is facing multiple charges in Calvert County after authorities say she was involved in separate incidents on July 4, 2026, and July 5, 2026, including repeated non-emergency 911 calls, a domestic assault allegation, and a disturbance at CalvertHealth Medical Center. The charges listed against Fletcher include disorderly conduct, telephone misuse through repeated calls, second-degree assault, and felony second-degree assault involving a law enforcement officer.
The first incident began early July 4, 2026, when a Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a police information call at a Wawa on Market Square Drive in Prince Frederick. According to the deputy’s account, the Calvert Control Center reported that Fletcher had called 911 because she needed a ride home and that it was the sixth time she had called for that reason. The deputy wrote that Fletcher had already been told several times that deputies do not provide rides.
When deputies contacted Fletcher inside the store, she was allegedly warned that another non-emergency 911 call could lead to her arrest for telephone misuse. The deputy reported that Fletcher then began yelling and cursing inside the store, drawing the attention of customers. After she allegedly continued despite being told to quiet down, Fletcher was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center. She was charged with telephone misuse and disorderly conduct.
At her initial appearance later July 4, 2026, Fletcher was released on personal recognizance with conditions that included not engaging in criminal conduct, appearing in court when notified, and completing an evaluation with Calvert Behavioral Health while following all recommendations.
The following morning, July 5, 2026, Maryland State Police responded to a reported domestic dispute at a home in Lusby. A trooper wrote that Fletcher’s mother reported Fletcher had returned home after being released from the detention center and began throwing food and trash from inside the residence onto the front lawn. The mother told police she tried to stop Fletcher, which led to a verbal dispute that allegedly turned violent.
According to the police account, the mother said she ran to her vehicle for safety, but Fletcher followed and began punching the driver’s side door and window. The mother reported that when she rolled down the window to speak with Fletcher, Fletcher struck her multiple times on the left side of the face with a closed right fist. The trooper wrote that he did not observe visible physical injuries, but said the mother was extremely distraught.
The trooper reported that Fletcher was “extremely uncooperative,” sweating, pacing, yelling, and making random statements that did not make sense. Police said Fletcher repeatedly yelled that she broke her hand because she “Fu##ed that bitch up,” which the trooper wrote was a reference to punching her mother. Her right hand appeared swollen and possibly broken, and she was taken by Solomons emergency medical personnel to CalvertHealth Medical Center for treatment. Fletcher was charged with second-degree assault in connection with that incident.
Later July 5, 2026, Maryland State Police were called to CalvertHealth Medical Center on Hospital Road in Prince Frederick for a report of a disorderly subject. A trooper wrote that he and another trooper arrived to find two hospital security officers escorting Fletcher, who was naked, off the property in the parking lot. According to the account, Fletcher was yelling at the security officers as they attempted to remove her from the property.
One security officer repeatedly told Fletcher to leave the property, according to police. Fletcher allegedly got in the officer’s face, threatened to “Fold him,” and then said, “say something else” while approaching him in a threatening manner. A trooper wrote that he ordered Fletcher to step away, but Fletcher allegedly threatened to spit on the security officer and then spit in his face.
Police said Fletcher was told she was under arrest, and a trooper, another trooper, and the security officer moved to handcuff her. While handcuffed, Fletcher allegedly threatened to spit on them and said, “You gonna die today.” When a trooper tried to remove a vape from her hand, Fletcher allegedly said, “Get off my fu##ing vape” and began kicking backward. Police said she struck the security officer in the legs, struck a trooper in the thigh, and then kicked the security officer in the groin.
While on the ground, Fletcher allegedly continued kicking toward the security officer’s chest area and said, “Ima f##k you up bi##h.” Police said another trooper spoke to her in a calm voice in an effort to de-escalate the situation. As officers tried to help her roll onto her side and stand up, Fletcher allegedly said, “I punched my mother in the face; she’s b##ch,” before becoming unruly again.
After Fletcher was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, a trooper spoke with hospital staff about what led to her removal from the building. A registration nurse reported that Fletcher had been in the lobby, entered other patients’ “personal space,” told them they were going to die, and said she would “strike them dead.” A charge nurse reported seeing the behavior on camera and asking Fletcher to leave, after which Fletcher allegedly threatened to hit and kill her. Security officers then escorted Fletcher outside, where police said she removed her dress and became non-compliant.
In the hospital incident, Fletcher was charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree assault, and felony second-degree assault involving a law enforcement officer.
