Ronnie Gene Alexander, age 72, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 30, 1944 in Huntsville, Texas to parents Tommie Gene and Mussetta Moore Alexander who preceded him in death along with his brother-in-law, Ricky Carleton; and animal companions, Alex, Tina, Remy, Patches, Sophie and Boo.
Ronnie served in the United States Navy for 20 years until he retired. After retirement he enjoyed a second career as a Network Administrator working for a government contractor in Lexington Park, Maryland. In his spare time he enjoyed time with his family and pets, reading, catching up on his favorite TV shows and movies, and keeping up with the latest technology.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Alexander; son, Nick Alexander; daughters, Kristy Witz (Joe), Cheri Thalheimer, Teresa Frazzella, Yvette James, Michelle LeBlanc; step-children Elizabeth Holt (Tony), Jackie Schrader (Josh), Cindy Lloyd (Crystal); brother, Nelson Alexander (Gale); sister, Janice Carleton; grandchildren, Lexi, Joseph, Madison, Kara, Julie, Bradley, Brady, Mikayla, Alexandra, Ashlynn, Rowan, and numerous other grandchildren; as well as his loving animal companions, Geno, Petey, JayJay, Casey, Heidi and Brandie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America will be appreciated by the family.
