UPDATE – Official St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Press Release: On February 13, 2018, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to Lighthouse Liquors located on Three Notch Road, in Charlotte Hall, for the report of an armed robbery.
Contact was made with an employee/victim who advised an unknown suspect entered the business armed with a knife, and demanded money. A brief struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect; ultimately the suspect was able to flee the business with an undisclosed amount of money. As a result of the struggle, the victim sustained injuries which required medical treatment from a local hospital. The investigation was continued by the Criminal Investigations Division, and the suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, between the ages of 25-35 years old. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a dark colored jacket, hat, and blue jeans.

2/14/2018 @ 8:00 a.m.: On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Deputies from the St. Mary’s County County Sheriff’s Office responded to Lighthouse Liquors, located at 30411 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall, for a reported armed robbery.
An employee at the establishment advised an African American male entered the store, brandished a knife, demanded money, and assaulted the employee. The suspect then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim suffered injuries from the assault and was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
No further physical description of the suspect is available at this time.
Crime Lab Technicians and Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
This investigation is being continued by the Criminal Investigations Division.
