Waldorf-Based Kingdomware Technologies Receives 2018 Minority Business Leader Award

February 15, 2018

The Charles County Economic Development Department is pleased to announce that Waldorf-based business, Kingdomware Technologies, Inc, will receive an award at the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) 11th Annual Minority Business Leader Awards program on Thursday, March 22 at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland.

The awards program honors 25 of the most successful minority business men and women in the Washington, D.C. Metro area. Kingdomware Technologies, an African-American, disabled veteran-owned company and member of Charles County’s Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) program, was nominated by Lucinia Mundy, Business Development Specialist for the Charles County Economic Development Department.

“I reviewed Charles County’s current list of 169 registered and certified SLBE program firms and identified those that were owned by minorities and fit the WBJ’s selection criteria,” said Mundy. “Kingdomware Technologies has shared their successes with me over the years, so they automatically came to my mind as an excellent candidate for this award.”

Kingdomware Technologies has been in business since 1993 and specializes in providing web, software, client network, and mobile application solutions to government, industry, and nonprofit organizations. They have received numerous awards along with excellent customer ratings and holds several contracts with the federal, state, and local governments.

“I am humbled and honored to be receiving this award,” said Timothy Barton, founder of Kingdomware Technologies. “Along with the nomination, we appreciate the support we have received from the Charles County Economic Development Department SLBE program, especially from Lucinia Mundy and Marcia Keeth.”

The Minority Business Leader Awards honor the entrepreneurial drive, creativity, and success of the honorees. All nominees were judged by the Washington Business Journal staff and chosen because of their professional accomplishments, community leadership, and philanthropy, as well as the past awards they have received and milestones they’ve accomplished.
