Sherri Letitia Yorkshire departed this life peacefully and was called to eternal rest on Monday, February 19, 2018.
Sherri was born to George and the late Sharon Chase, on May 7, 1970. Sherri was educated in the St. Mary’s County public school system. She served in the federal government for nearly 28 years, with the last 17 years spent with the U.S. Treasury. Sherri is best remembered for her glowing smile, gentle demeanor, and her love of the Lord. She loved to spend countless hours with her daughter and husband, going shopping, and singing her beloved gospel music. She was meticulous about her style and appearance and never wanted a hair out of place.
Sherri was a devoted wife, attentive mother, and loving daughter, sister, and family member to many. She had a big, winning personality to accompany her glowing smile, that many say was infectious. Her presence brightened any room without her saying a word.
Sherri was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Chase; her grandparents and two special uncles.
Sherri leaves to cherish her wonderful memories her husband, Bartholomew “Bart”; daughter, Sheridan; step-son, Byron (Nakkiyah); father, George; sister, Tonya (Mark), a host of close family members and special friends, Kimberly Bannister, Cynthia Herbert and Lionel Young.
Family and friends will unite on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 for visitation at 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, 43950 St. John’s Road, Hollywood, MD. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, Bushwood, MD. 20618.
