William “Mutt” Tayman, age 84, passed away at his home in Croom, Maryland surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. He was born on January 30, 1934 in Croom, Maryland to William Vollie and Eleanor Rae Tayman He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Tayman, daughters Susie (Wade) Rawlings, Bonnie Puckett (Mike Parkinson), Brenda (Kris) Paddock, grandchildren Will Puckett (Morgan Parkinson), Brooke (Steven) Prather, and Taylor Rawlings. He is also survived by siblings Helen Cooper, Doris Tayman, Marie Windsor, William V. Tayman, Jr. and Woodrow Tayman. Mutt was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Cotton Tayman, and son-in-law Greg Puckett.
Mutt enjoyed truck shows, tractor pulling, drag racing, and driving his 1979 Peterbilt. He was known as “King of the Road”. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf, Maryland. Visitation hours are from 10:00-12:00 with services starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Croom, Maryland.
Family and friends are invited to Baden Volunteer Fire Department immediately after the burial for refreshments.
