Edward Peterson departed this life Wednesday, March 7, 2018 after a long illness. Born November 16, 1933 in Richmond, VA to the late Edward and Madge Peterson, who preceded him in death. Edward was educated in Caroline County Public School System. He relocated to the Washington DC area in 1956.
He worked briefly for the DC Public School System and Washington Gas Company. He became an electrician and worked for the Federal Government until retirement. Edward was an avid gun and knife collector who enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by five children from two previous marriages: Gail, John, Keith, Valerie and Monica, ten grandchildren: Stephanie, Vanessa, Yolanda, John Jr., Terrence, Anthony, Alexis, Andre, Christopher and Chase and 16 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 2294 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. Interment is private.
