Michael DeWayne Boseman, 60, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018. He was born on March 7, 1957 in Chattanooga, TN to Barbara McCurdy. Barbara was later united in holy matrimony to the late William B. Boseman, who adopted Michael at the age of two years old. Michael was the light of William’s life. He nurtured, loved and cared for Michael unconditionally.
Michael graduated from Ballou High School, Washington, DC. After graduation, he joined the U. S. Army in June, 1974 and was honorably discharged in May, 1977, where he served his country proudly and put service before self, for our freedoms and security. His employment career included working at agencies such as U.S. Veterans Hospital and U. S. World and News Report, as well as several other agencies.
Michael loved to entertain. He was humorous, always laughing and smiling. He was witty and had the ability to repeat jokes told by comedian Richard Pryor and others and could repeat them almost verbatim. He also enjoyed entertaining others by performing card tricks; almost like no other could and playing chess; although his passion was playing basketball and WINNING.
Throughout his life, Michael had numerous loyal, cherished and dedicated friends; who are too numerous to mention. Thank you for always being there for him. We love you very much! As you know, Michael loved you too. Keep his love in your hearts. Michael would now say “Let not your hearts be troubled; God is with you.”
