List of Calvert County Stores with Special Hours for Citizens Aged 60 and Up

March 24, 2020

The Calvert County Health Department does not endorse or promote for profit businesses. We are sharing this information for the sole purpose of keeping the community informed of services that may benefit those in need of specific information.

These are the hours specified for senior citizens. It’s probably best to call the store of your choice to be informed if these hours include those who are immunosuppressed.

If any local businesses are open in Charles, Calvert, or St. Mary’s County and provided special hours for our older citizens, please contact us at news@smnewsnet.com, so we can share the information!

Are these hours for those with health issues which make them high risk?

We are hoping our local businesses can contact us letting us know if they are doing this! We have not currently heard of any businesses in St. Mary’s County or Charles County specifically having hours for our older citizens. We will provide updates daily once we have them.

Our elected commissioners need to contact our local stores here in St. Mary’s and ask them to provide these service hours for Seniors, Handicapped individuals and those with compromised health issues. But, how do you know who may or may not be compromised?
Iam still trying to figure out this run on Toilet Paper. After all this virus thing is over with, you will see yard sales later this summer and one item that you will find at these sales are packs of Toilet Paper. I was able to get a 12 pack of toilet paper at a store during lunch time. I was asking the cashier about getting toilet paper in their deliveries and the cashier in the next isle heard me and brought over the pack. He was enforcing the stores one package limit and wouldn’t let the customer buy two packs. So, I made my wife happy that day. Now when this pack gets low, I guess I need to hit the stores by 6am to get more. Unreal.
