On Friday, June 5, 2020, at approximately 9:50 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Hermanville Road in Lexington Park, for the motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Crews arrived on the scene to find two vehicles in the roadway, with the operator of each vehicle trapped.
Firefighters from the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department removed the single occupant in the sedan in under 5 minutes. Simultaneously, firefighters worked to free the second trapped patient, with extrication for both patients being completed in under 10 minutes from the arrival of first responders.
Two patients were transported to an area hospital with injuries reported to be non-life-threatening.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office handled the crash investigation.
