On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at approximately 3:07 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Fowler Road and Arbor Way in Sunderland, for a motor vehicle accident reported serious.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle off the roadway and on its side after striking a tree.
Both occupants were removed from the vehicle by bystanders prior to the arrival of First Responders.
Firefighters reported one victim was flown to an area trauma center, and the second victim was transported by ambulance to an area trauma center.
