Maryland State Police Arrest One During Shots Fired Investigation in Lexington Park, No Injuries Reported

On Monday, October 19, 2020, at approximately 8:00 a.m., police responded to Liberty Street in Lexington Park, for the complaint of shots fired.

One witness advised after hearing the shot(s), subjects in the area were observed leaving on foot and in a vehicle. The vehicle described by a witness was located on Hancock Road; Police observed there was no damage to the vehicle and after an extensive search of Liberty Street and surrounding areas, no victims were located.

While police were conducting their investigations, Robert Leroy Thomas became disorderly and was arrested by Troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. No other arrests were made.

On Monday, October 19, 2020, at approximately 5:45 p.m., police responded to Columbus Drive in Lexington Park, for reports of a fight possibly involving guns.

Police arrived in the area to find evidence of a shooting and found at least one vehicle struck three times by projectiles and recovered multiple pieces of evidence from the area.

The Maryland State Police is currently investigating the incidents.

No known injuries were reported.
