Head-on Collision in Waldorf Sends Three Subjects to Area Trauma Centers

On Friday, October 23, 2020, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Crain Highway and Acton Lane in Waldorf, for the motor vehicle collision reported serious with multiple subjects trapped.

Crews arrived on the scene to find two vehicles in the roadway with three subjects trapped.

Firefighters extricated all victims in under 15 minutes, and requested two helicopters for one adult female, and one child.

United States Park Police Eagle 2 landed at the scene and transported a 48-year-old female, and a 14-year-old male to area trauma centers.

One patient was transported to an area trauma center by ground, at least one patients was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Eagle 2 had a delayed take-off due to an unknown individual flying a drone above the scene and aircraft.

Police are investigating the collision.
