Police Investigating Second Murder at Adams Crossing Apartment Complex in Waldorf

UPDATE 10/28/2020 @ 1:35 p.m.: On October 27 at 11:40 a.m., officers responded to the 12300 block of Mount Clare Place in Waldorf after receiving a call to check on the welfare of a resident who lived in one of the apartments.

Upon arrival, officers located Herbert Andrei James, 64, deceased inside his residence. He had trauma to his body and foul play is suspected. It does not appear this is a random incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

On October 25, 2020, at approximately 2:56 a.m., officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 12300 block of Glenview Place in Waldorf, and located Latoya Hicks, 33, of Waldorf, inside her apartment doorway. She had trauma to her body and was the victim of an apparent homicide.

10/27/2020: Charles County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were on the scene of a death investigation in the 12300 block of Mt. Clare Place in Waldorf at approximately 4:45 p.m., on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

Police found the body of an adult was found deceased inside an apartment.

The body was sent to the Chief Medical Examiner Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. Anyone with information should call 301-932-2222.
