Henry S. Baranoski, age 90, peacefully entered eternal life with his Lord on November 1, 2020.
Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, he was employed by the NYC Metropolitan Transportation Authority for 31 years. He married Marie Wicinski in May 1955 and raised two sons, Thomas and James.
A Korean War Veteran, he was active in his community as a coach of Staten Island Youth Sports Programs, the Knights of Columbus, and multiple social events at St Adalbert’s Church.
Upon his retirement, he and Marie moved to Ocean City, MD. There he continued to be active in the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 166, the CHS Condominium Association, and the St. Mary Star of the Sea/Holy Savior Roman Catholic Church, including the Polish Club.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling with his wife and many friends. He was an active bowler into his mid 70’s. His most joyful moments were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He eventually moved to and spent his last years at Asbury Solomons to be near his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie and his son, James. He is survived by his son Thomas, his daughter-in-law Marydonna, and his two grandchildren, Emily and Devin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Solomons MD, on Saturday, November 14th, 2020 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Calvert Hospice, PO Box 838, Prince Frederick, MD. 20678
