On Thursday, November 12, 2020, at approximately 3:45 p.m., firefighters responded to 5228 Greenville Drive in Bryans Road, for the reported structure fire.
Dispatchers advised the 911 caller reported her smoke alarm was going off and said she thought her clothes dryer was on fire.
Crews arrived on the scene within minutes of dispatch to find a two story residence with nothing evident. Upon entry into the residence, firefighters found an active fire on the second floor.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in under 15 minutes.
No injuries were reported, and the displaced occupants of the residence are being assisted by family members.
47 Fire/EMS personnel responded to the scene with mutual aid from NDW Indian Head and Prince George’s County Fire. The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified.
