As of Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Maryland reports 169,805 COVID-19 cases and 4,186 deaths. An increase of 2,149 cases and 26 deaths over 24 hours.
Maryland is now seeing widespread community transmission, not just in cities and urban areas, but in rural counties that had not experienced the large spikes earlier this year. Today is the largest-ever daily increase of new cases, and our COVID-19 hospitalizations are now at their highest since early June.
