Kenneth W. Chandler, 84, of La Plata, Maryland passed away at his residence on November 12, 2020.
He was born and raised in Morganfield, Kentucky.
Ken honored his country serving in the United States Airforce followed by a career with the Navy Department Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C.
Ken was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He loved his family and his country. He enjoyed sports, gardening, his friends and neighbors, and vacationing in Bethany Beach, Delaware. He was a fair and just man who will always be remembered for his bellowing laughter.
Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Elizabeth; daughters, Allison Garagusi (Robert) and Hope Baier (Michael); grandchildren Brendon, Christian, and Caroline Garagusi; April Monks (William), Michael Baier, Jr. (Holly), Julia and Aubrey Baier; great-grandchildren Brooke Monks, Jude and Piper Baier.
Visitation on Wednesday, November 18th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sacred Heart Church, 201 St. Mary’s Ave, La Plata, MD. Funeral mass on Thursday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m. Sacred Heart Church. Internment immediately following at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
