Mary Lue Russell, 76 of Great Mills, MD passed away on November 11, 2020 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital.
Mary Lue Russell was born on March 9, 1944 in Whiting, Missouri to the late Amos Davenport and Nona Pearl (Brown) Davenport.
Mary Lue Russell grew up in Missouri as one of twelve children until moving to Maryland in 1999. She married Clarence Russell on May 27, 1999. They were married for 14 years until his passing in 2013. She enjoyed watching live television shows, the weather channel and the Washington Nationals Baseball team when they were in season. Granny Mary enjoyed canning all vegetables, making tomato soup, pickles and her famous BBQ sauce. She also raised chickens so they would have fresh eggs and poultry. She enjoyed visiting with her Amish friends. She loved being with her grandchildren and playing with them when they would visit. Family meant everything to her. Her dog Yuma will always be her special baby.
She is survived by her daughter, Christi Brewer of Great Mills, MD, and her Step-Children Charles “Rocky” Russell (Becky) of Lexington Park, MD; Rick Russell of Glendale, AZ and Sheila Miller (Guy) of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren Michael Russell, Mark Russell, Tabbetha Koslofsky (Mike), Sandra Scott (Eric), Ricky Woodburn, Kenny Woodburn, Michael George (Christina) and Nicole George (Andy); and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Russell, Shellby Fitzgerald, Evan Koslofsky, Hailie Koslofsky, Hayden Scott, Jase Scott, Camdyn Woodburn, Emma Woodburn, Eric Risbon, Lucy George, Fitzgerald George, Reid Tennyson and Savannah Tennyson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Jamie Lynn Cade and great grandson Hunter Scott.
