On Sunday, November 22, 2020, at approximately 2:05 a.m., police and emergency medical personnel responded to the 20700 block of Golden Thompson Road in Avenue, for the reported stabbing.
Dispatchers advised all responding units the 911 caller reported the victim was a 56-year-old male with two stab wounds.
Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene and placed one suspect into custody without incident. Emergency medical personnel were allowed to proceed into the scene and found the victim with a stab wound to the neck, and one stab wound to his lower extremity.
Medical personnel transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
