On November 22, 2020 at approximately 7:00p.m., Trooper First Class E. Ruggles of the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack conducted a traffic stop on Three Notch Road in the area of Buck Hewitt Road, Lexington Park.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 225 grams of suspected pure opium powder, approximately 135 grams of suspected poppy plant buds, nine (9) EZ Pass transponders, and a water bottle filled with approximately $570 in US currency.
A search incident to arrest also revealed approximately $650 in additional US currency. The driver was identified as Aslam Djurakulov, 29 of Brooklyn, New York and the passenger identified as Alisher Abduhamidov, 37 of Brooklyn, New York.
Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where they were charged with CDS Possession – Large Amount; CDS: Possession – Not Marijuana; and CDS Possession With Intent to Distribute.
