The following is a sample of recent arrests, crimes, and investigations handled by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Kevin Sincavage (33)

On December 1, 2020, Deputies responded to Harris Teeter in Dunkirk for the report of harassment. The complainant advised an unknown male subject approached them while checking out and refused to leave them alone. Deputies located the male suspect identified as Kevin Sincavage (33) at Jersey Mike’s Sub Shop. While speaking with Deputies, Sincavage repeatedly raised his voice, shouting profanities and acting disorderly. Deputies asked Sincavage numerous times to clean up his trash and exit the restaurant. After continually resisting, Sincavage was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Trespass: Private Property, Disorderly Conduct, Resist/Interfere with Arrest, Failure to Obey Lawful Order, Harass: A Course of Conduct.

On December 6, 2020, Deputy Anderson responded to White Sands Drive in Lusby for the report of a disorderly subject. The complainant advised a male subject had passed out on the front porch and upon waking up and began screaming. Upon Deputy Anderson’s arrival, he made contact with the male subject identified as Michael Stephen Kubisiak (29). While speaking with Kubisiak, he attempted to flee the scene on foot and after a brief struggle, was placed under arrest and a search of his person was conducted which resulted in a clear capsule containing a white powdery substance suspected to be Heroin, as well as a cut plastic straw. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention center and charged with CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana, Malicious Destruction of Property Value $1,000+, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On November 16, 2020, Deputy Grierson was advised by Calvert County Emergency Communications that a male and female subject were observed leaving Walmart in Prince Frederick with several items they did not pay for. Deputy Grierson and Sergeant Morder located the subject’s vehicle and after a brief pursuit, conducted a traffic stop on Tate Road in Prince Frederick. Deputies made contact with the occupants, Devonte Twain Harrod (21), and Haley Elizabeth Morris (21), and observed several boxes and loose items in the vehicle that were not in bags. Harrod and Morris exited the vehicle and advised all the items were taken from Walmart and were not paid for. A total of 39 items were stolen, with a total value of $714.45. Harrod and Morris were placed under arrest and transported to Calvert County Detention Center where they were each charged with Theft: $100 to under $1,500.

On November 20, 2020, Deputy W. McDowell conducted a traffic stop at 7-11 in Dunkirk. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Deputy McDowell detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The occupants exited the vehicle and a search as conducted which resulted in a black AWS Digital Scale, a box of sandwich bags, and a zip lock bag containing suspected marijuana. Also located in the vehicle was a large plastic bag and a black grocery bag, both containing suspected marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, Maurice Troy Weir (37), was placed under arrest and was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession w/ Intent to Distribute: Narcotics, and CDS: Possession of Marijuana 10 GM+.

On November 20, 2020, Deputy Durnbaugh responded to Calvert Health Medical Center in Prince Frederick for the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, hospital security advised a male subject, Justin Andrew Holt (26), was acting disorderly and refused to cooperate with hospital staff. Deputy Durnbaugh made contact with Holt, who advised he had taken “Molly” and wanted to be seen by a doctor. Hospital staff advised Holt repeatedly refused to wear a mask and refused to give the doctor or staff any information about his illness. Holt was escorted from the hospital property and taken to his home. A short time later, Deputy Durnbaugh responded back to Calvert Health Medical Center where Holt had returned with a family member. Holt again requested treatment but refused a mask and refused to give any information to medical staff and continued acting disorderly. Holt was placed under arrest and transported to Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Trespass: Private Property and Disorderly Conduct.

David Michael Strickland (38)

On November 21, 2020 Deputy Flynt conducted a traffic stop on North Solomons Island Road at Cox Road in Huntingtown. Deputy Flynt observed the driver, David Michael Strickland (38), nodding off behind the wheel and detected the strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and Strickland’s person. Strickland exited the vehicle and was observed to be incoherent and could not maintain balance. A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in an open 12 ounce Miller Lite beer, a clear container containing an unknown pill capsule, and a pill bottle containing half a pill suspected to be Alprazolam. Strickland was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, and multiple traffic citations.

On November 21, 2020, Deputy Payne responded to Walmart in Dunkirk for the report of a disorderly female. Witnesses advised a female subject was outside the store harassing customers and yelling as they were leaving and throwing trash on the ground. Deputy Payne located the female subject, Latoya Renee Mason (38), and observed her approaching customers as they were exiting the store. While speaking with Deputy Payne, Mason became irate and began yelling profanities and inappropriate comments and continued to ignore Deputy Payne’s commands to stop yelling. Calvert County Emergency Communications advised Mason was wanted on an active warrant through Charles County Sheriff’s Office. Mason was placed under arrest and was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she continued to act in a disorderly manner towards Correctional Officers. Mason was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order.

On November 15, 2020, Deputy W. McDowell conducted a traffic stop on Chaneyville Road in Owings. Upon making contact with the driver, Dakota Joseph Zollinhofer (20), Deputy McDowell observed Zollinhofer to have bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and lethargic movements. Zollinhofer exited the vehicle and a search was conducted resulting in a cut soda can containing burnt residue, a small glass container containing white powder residue suspected to be Heroin, and two empty pill capsules containing white powder residue suspected to be Heroin. Deputies placed Zollinhofer under arrest and attempted to place him in the patrol vehicle when he began yelling profanities and resisting. Zollinhofer was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where a secondary search of his person was conducted resulting in a glass smoking device with copper filings and burnt residue located in Zollinhofer’s waist band. Zollinhofer was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, Possession of Contraband-Place of Confinement, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On November 14, 2020, Deputy Gott responded to Walgreens in Lusby for the report of a disorderly subject. The complainant advised a male subject, Wendell Rosevelt Knott (47), was harassing customers and loitering outside the store. Calvert County Emergency Communications advised Knott was previously issued a no trespass warning by Deputy Kwitowski on November 3rd, 2020. Deputy Gott located Knott and placed him under arrest. Knott was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Trespass: Private Property.

On November 13, 2020, Deputy Hardy responded to Broomes Island Road in Port Republic for the report of trespassing. The complainant advised that a male subject was at their residence and refused to leave. The complainant advised Deputy Hardy the male was in a basement bedroom and had smoked a PCP cigarette. Deputy Hardy located the male, Drew Michael Mason (31), and observed him to have slurred speech and fall to the ground several times while trying to exit the room. Deputy Hardy also detected the strong chemical odor associated with PCP and observed a vial containing several cigarettes that appeared to be dipped in a liquid. After a brief struggle, Deputies were able to place Mason under arrest and transport him to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest.

On November 12, 2020, Deputy Gough responded to Hallowing Point Road in Prince Frederick for the report of a vehicle that ran off the roadway. Deputy Gough located the vehicle in the woods across from Hallowing Point Park and made contact with the driver, Kathrina Lyn Hines (39). After Deputy Gough determined Hines was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle, a search of the vehicle was conducted resulting in multiple used and unused syringes, a burned silver spoon with white residue suspected to be Heroin, a broken glass pipe with burnt ends and copper fibers, as well as four clear capsules containing white residue, suspected to be Heroin. Hines was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia, and CDS Administer Equipment Possession/Distribution.

On November 11, 2020, Deputy Barger conducted a traffic stop on Southern Maryland Boulevard at Lower Marlboro Road in Huntingtown. Calvert County Emergency Communications advised the registration on the vehicle was reported as stolen through Pennsylvania, and the driver of the vehicle, Steven Terrell Wheeler (26), was wanted on active warrants through Maryland State Police and Prince George’s County. Upon making contact with Wheeler, Deputy Barger observed Wheeler attempting to conceal a clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana, and detected the strong odor or marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Wheeler exited the vehicle and a search was conducted resulting in a shoe box containing three white pills suspected to be Oxycodone, and a white plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. Wheeler was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Marijuana 10 GM+, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia, and Sell/Possess Stolen Manf No, and served with his warrants.

On November 10, 2020, Deputy Lewis responded to Safeway in Prince Frederick for the report of trespassing. Calvert County Emergency Communications advised a male subject, Sean Luke Braziel (29), was laying on the sidewalk in front of the store. Deputy Lewis was also advised that Braziel had an indefinite trespass warning issued on December 14, 2016, and was also wanted on an active warrant through the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Lewis made contact with Braziel and observed him to have incoherent, slurred speech. Braziel was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Trespass: Private Property.

On November 10, 2020, Deputy Parks conducted a traffic stop on South Solomons Island Road at Calvert Cliffs Parkway in Lusby. Prior to making contact with the driver, Deputy Parks observed the driver to manipulate his hand in a bag sitting on the front seat. Upon making contact with the driver, Jason Michael Mann (38), Mann exited the vehicle and a search was conducted which resulted in a clear capsule containing a white powder suspected to be Heroin, located in the backpack on the front seat. Also located in the vehicle was a pill bottle containing seven clear capsules, all containing a white powder suspected to be Heroin. Mann was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana.

On November 9, 2020, Calvert County Emergency Communications received reports of two male subjects that appeared to be overdosing in the parking lot of KFC/Taco Bell in Solomons. The subjects were reported to leave in their vehicle, driving south on Solomons Island Road. Corporal Rector located the vehicle and observed the driver all over the roadway. Corporal Rector conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle under the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Deputy Wilder arrived on scene to assist in the traffic stop and observed the male subjects had already exited the vehicle. Deputy Wilder observed the driver, Wilbert Johnson Hartman (35), to have glassy eyes and slurred speech. A search of Hartman’s person was conducted resulting in a small plastic bag containing a small white rock suspected to be cocaine. A search of the vehicle resulted in two cut red straws containing white residue, as well as a used dose of Naloxone. Hartman was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On November 9, 2020, Deputy Parks responded to San Angelo Drive and Golden West Way in Lusby for the report of an accident involving a school bus. Calvert County Emergency Communications advised a vehicle approached the stopped school bus at a high rate of speed, striking the rear of the bus. Deputy Parks made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Victoria Lynn Tillbery (51), and observed her to have slurred speech and lack of balance. A search of Tillbery’s vehicle was conducted resulting in an unopened Suboxone strip which Tillbery was unable to provide a prescription for. Tillbery was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and various traffic citations.

On November 8, 2020, Deputy Hardy responded to Cliff’s Motel in Saint Leonard for a welfare check. The complainant advised a male subject fell through a window and was laying on the floor. Deputy Hardy made contact with a male and female subject in the motel room and observed both subjects to have slurred speech and lack of balance. There was also a large amount of blood on the bed from the male, Tristao Commodore (43). After multiple commands, Commodore exited the room and was evaluated by EMS. Deputy Hardy observed several empty “99” shot glasses, a small bag of marijuana, several grinders, unlabeled pill bottles and a bowl of unknown liquid. Commodore and the female subject were advised to remain in their room to avoid further incident. A short time later, Deputy Hardy responded back to the motel room for reports of Commodore falling through the window again. Deputy Hardy attempted to place Commodore under arrest. Commodore resisted attempts and continued to act disorderly. After a struggle and with assistance from other Deputies, Commodore was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey Reasonable/Lawful Order, Resisting/Interfering with Arrest, Intoxicated Public Disturbance, and Assault-2nd Degree.

On November 6, 2020, while working at Rod N’ Reel in Chesapeake Beach, Deputy Plant observed a male subject who was known to have an active warrant. Deputy Plant made contact and detained the male, Gene Donald Crabbe (43), and a search was conducted by Deputy Plant and Deputy Cress which resulted in a prescription bottle containing seven Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine tablets. Crabbe was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and served with his warrant.

Tyrell Lamar Douglas (23)

On November 5, 2020, Deputy Lewis responded to Prince Frederick Ford to assist Deputy Naughton with a subject in custody for theft. Deputy Naughton advised Deputy Lewis that the male subject, Tyrell Lamar Douglas (23), was observed by Walmart employees attempting to steal four Onn. TV’s. Douglas was observed walking through the store with the TV’s, walking past the checkout registers without paying and exited the store. At this time, Deputies were notified of the theft in progress and Douglas abandoned the shopping cart, exiting the parking lot in his vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Multiple items were located inside the vehicle which Douglas admitted to stealing from various stores in different counties. Douglas was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Theft: $100 to under $1,500.

On November 3, 2020, Deputy Aranda responded to Tractor Supply in Huntingtown for the report of a subject trespassing. The complainant advised Brandon Joseph Wesley Jones (31) was inside the store after previously being trespassed. Calvert County Emergency communications confirmed that Deputy Flynt trespassed Jones from the Tractor Supply indefinitely on August 12, 2020. Jones was detained and Deputy Aranda observed multiple hardware items in Jones’ sweatshirt pocket which Jones had not paid for. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Trespass: Private Property, and Theft Less Than $100.

On November 3, 2020, Deputy Clark and Corporal O’Donnell were on assignment at Huntingtown High School for the National Election. A female subject, Angel Jernee Somerville (34), approached the line after the poll closing time and was advised she would not be granted access inside the building to vote, due to not being in line prior to polls closing. Somerville then met with another subject further ahead in line and was again advised to leave, but refused. Somerville reached the entrance to the high school, still refusing to exit the line, was placed under arrest and was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

On November 3, 2020, Deputy Parks and Deputy Naughton conducted a traffic stop on Solomons Island Road at Pardoe Road in Lusby. Upon making contact with the occupants, Deputies detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the passenger side of the vehicle. The occupants exited the vehicle and the passenger, Tyrone Corde Claggett (33), advised he had marijuana in his jacket pocket. A search was conducted and Deputies located a tied plastic bag containing raw marijuana, an orange syringe cap, and an empty syringe in his shoe. Claggett was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS Administer Equipment Possession/Distribution.

On October 30, 2020, Deputy Durnbaugh responded to Calvert County Detention Center for the report of a CDS violation. Correctional Deputy Unkle advised that while Angel Marie Hensley (36) was being processed and searched, a bag was located on her person containing three white pills suspected to be Xanax, a red cut straw, and two clear baggies containing white residue. Hensley was charged with CDS: Possess- Not Marijuana, Poss/Rec CDS While Conf/Det, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On October 29, 2020, Deputy Buckler was patrolling in the area of North Beach Boardwalk and observed a male subject wanted on an active warrant. The male, Brandon Angelo Hansen (20), was detained and a search of his person was conducted which resulted in a Suboxone film packet which Hansen did not possess a prescription for. Hansen was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and was served with his warrants.

On October 25, 2020, Deputy E. Payne was traveling east on Mt. Harmony Road in Owings and observed a male subject laying in the roadway. The male, Ray Anthony Harris, Jr. (24), appeared to be vomiting while lying on the roadway. Deputy Payne attempted to provide assistance and observed Harris to have slurred speech, mumbling incoherent sentences, and sway back and forth. Harris began yelling multiple obscenities at Deputy Payne and EMS responders, refusing assistance and refusing to stay out of the roadway. Harris began yelling at and approaching passing cars, continuing to shout profanities and obscenities. Harris was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Intoxicated Public Disturbance, Disturbing Peace and Hindering Passage, Disorderly Conduct, and Failure to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order.

On October 23, 2020, Deputy Wilder observed a suspicious vehicle while conducting a routine patrol check at the Patuxent Plaza Shopping Center in Solomons. Upon making contact with the driver, Mark Lawrence Bradley (30), Deputy Wilder detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A small marijuana cigarette belonging to Bradley was surrendered. Bradley exited the vehicle and a search was conducted which resulted in a small brown bag containing a glass jar of raw marijuana, a short cut plastic straw containing white residue, a small plastic tied off bag containing a white powder/ rock substance suspected to be cocaine, and an additional plastic bag containing white residue and a clear plastic tube with a small white rock inside, suspected to be cocaine. A search of Bradley’s person was conducted resulting in a small clear plastic tube containing a white powdery substance suspected to be Ecstasy. Bradley was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia

On October 20, 2020, Deputy Anderson conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rio Grande Trail and Rustlers Ridge in Lusby. Upon making contact with the driver, who initially identified under a false name and date of birth, Deputy Anderson detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver, who was later identified as Shaquanda Nekole Cooke (28), exited the vehicle and a search was conducted which resulted in a small black purse containing a cut plastic straw with white powdery residue suspected to be cocaine. Calvert County Emergency Communications confirmed Cooke was wanted on several warrants through Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and Prince George’s County. Cooke was placed under arrest and transported to Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia, False Statement to Peace Officer, and was served with her warrants.

On October 19, 2020, Deputy Hardy conducted a traffic stop at the Shell gas station on North Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick. Upon making contact with the vehicle occupants, Deputy Hardy detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from a vehicle. The occupants exited the vehicle and a search was conducted which resulted in a clear cut straw, two paper folds containing a white powdery substance suspected to be heroin, seven spoons with burn marks and white residue, nineteen used hypodermic needles, several unused needles, a Blistex container containing a capsule filled with suspected heroin, seven unknown white pills, two small off white rocks, four pipes with burn marks and dark residue, a ball of copper wire, an empty clear capsules containing suspected heroin residue and Q tips wrapped in toilet paper. All items were located in several bags throughout the vehicle, all belonging to passenger, Katherine Paige Adkins (46). Adkins was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On October 15, 2020, Deputy Anderson conducted a traffic stop on North Solomons Island Road at Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick. Calvert County Emergency Communications advised the driver, Michael Sean Marshall (34), was wanted on two active warrants through Maryland State Police. Marshall exited the vehicle and Deputy Anderson detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in an orange prescription bottle containing two of the prescribed pills, as well as a suspected Xanax pill which Marshall did not possess a prescription for, and a pill crushing device containing white residue. A search of Marshall’s person was conducted resulting in a small black metal object containing white powdery residue suspected to be a crushed Xanax pill. Marshall was placed under arrest for CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On October 14, 2020, Deputy N. Buckler responded to 5th Street in Owings for a welfare check on a male subject who appeared unconscious in his vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputy Buckler identified the male subject as William Ray Albaugh, Jr. (23), and observed fresh blood on Albaugh’s hand as well as a hypodermic needle in the door handle of the driver’s door. After Deputy Buckler knocked on the window, Albaugh woke up and exited the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in six syringes, ten clear capsules containing a white powder substance suspected to be heroin, a metal spoon with residue and burn marks, a piece of cotton, six packages of an unknown substance, and two plastic bags containing unknown powder substances. Also located was a metal tray with powder residue and a lock box containing various storage containers and bags each containing suspected marijuana and THC wax, and a digital scale with residue. A search of Albaugh’s person resulted in two clear capsules each containing powder residue. Albaugh was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession w/ Intent to Distribute, CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On October 14, 2020, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on South Solomons Island Road at Rousby Hall Road in Lusby. Upon making contact with the driver, Sven Andrew Parker (27), Deputies detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Parked exited the vehicle and a search was conducted which resulted in a portion of a burnt marijuana cigarette. A search of Parker’s person was conducted which resulted in a clear bag containing suspected powder cocaine and U.S. currency. Parker was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession w/ Intent to Distribute: Narcotics, CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.
