The following arrests and investigations are provided by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office
Burglary- On December 2, 2020, Dep. Haas responded to the 21800 block of Shangri La Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported burglary. Investigation determined Antoine Keith Mackall, age 26 of Lusby, forced entry into an unoccupied section of the building, and was located sleeping inside the building. Mackall was arrested and charged with Burglary 4th Degree. CASE# 74836-20 |
Drug Arrest- On December 2, 2020, members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Tyrone Antoine Gross, age 33 of Lexington Park, was located at the residence in possession of suspected cocaine and Ecstasy. Gross was charged with two counts of CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana by DFC. Assault- On December 1, 2020, DFC. Beyer was flagged down by Frederick Lee Weems, age 41 of Lexington Park, in the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Weems had several knives in his pockets and a set of Nunchucks. Weems pulled one knife out and began swinging the Nunchucks threating to kill the victim over a dispute regarding an animal. Contact was made with the victim who further advised prior to police arrival Weems had grabbed the victim by the neck, and threatened the victim. Weems was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 74403-20 |
Motor Vehicle Theft- On November 29, 2020, Dep. Manns responded to the 39000 block of Daniel Drive in Mechanicsville, for the reported motor vehicle theft. On December 1, 2020, Cpl. Beishline observed the stolen vehicle in the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Great Mills. Cpl. Beishline initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the operator, Ashley Nicole Barber, age 32 of Mechanicsville, provided a false name, and fled in the vehicle. Barber got the vehicle stuck and then proceeded to flee on foot. Barber was pursued and was taken into custody. Barber was charged with Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking, Theft, False Statement to Officer, Fraud: Avoid Prosecution, and Fail to Obey Lawful Order. CASE# 74110-20 |
Violate Protective Order- On November 29, 2020, Dep. Forinash responded to the 2540 block of Hawthorn Way in Lexington Park, for the requested conservator. During contact with the parties, it was determined Aquib Francis Ashton, age 27 of Upper Marlboro, violated a valid court order by contacting the victim numerous times. Ashton was arrested and charged with Violate Protective Order. CASE# 74086-20 |
Violate Protective Order- On November 29, 2020, Dep. Forinash responded to the 2540 block of Hawthorn Way in Lexington Park, for the requested conservator. During contact with the parties, it was determined Evadne Yvette Lewis, age 23 of Lexington Park, violated a valid court order by contacting the victim numerous times. Lewis was arrested and charged with Violate Protective Order. CASE# 74086-20 |
Assault- On November 29, 2020, Dep. Wilhelmi responded to the 46800 block of Hilton Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance. Investigation determined Nicole Michelle Brown, age 20 of Lexington Park, spit on the victim during an argument. While deputies and troopers were on the scene, Brown spit on a trooper and when placed into custody began kicking the interior of the police vehicle as well as spitting inside the vehicle. Brown was charged with two counts of Assault, and three counts of Malicious Destruction to Property. CASE# 74141-20 |
Assault- On November 28, 2020, Dep. Baker responded to the 48000 block of Mary Lynn Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Cierra Lexy Munson, age 22 of Lexington Park, struck the victim in the face, and threw numerous items at the victim, causing injury to the victim’s hand. Munson was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 73993-20 |
Violate Protective Order- On November 25, 2020, Dep. Raley responded to the 45800 block of Horseshoe Road in Great Mills, for the reported suspicious activity. Investigation determined Marie Alexandria Ames, age 38 of Lexington Park, was observed at the victim’s residence. There is an active court order preventing Ames from being at the victim’s residence. Ames was arrested and charged with Violate Protective Order. CASE# 73224-20 |
Violation of Peace Order- On November 25, 2020, Dep. Henry responded to the 22500 block of Dunleigh Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported peace order violation. Investigation determined Homer Wallace Canter, age 68 of Mechanicsville, was observed outside the two victims’ residence in violation of two active peace orders. Canter was arrested and charged with two counts of violate a peace order. CASE# 73090-20 |
Violate Protective Order- On November 24, 2020, Dep. Jerew responded to the 28900 block of Hill and Dale Drive in Mechanicsville, for the reported protective order violation. Investigation determined Lauren Rae Sylver, age 25 of Mechanicsville, sent a text with a message for the victim, which is in violation of an active court order preventing any contact with the victim. Sylver was arrested and charged with Violate Protective Order. CASE# 72935-20 |
Assault- On November 22, 2020, DFC. Shelko responded to the 20700 block of Golden Thompson Road in Avenue, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Eric Michael Lawbaugh, age 30 of Avenue, was arguing with the victim over the use of a cellphone. During the argument Lawbaugh retrieved a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the leg and shoulder. Lawbaugh was arrested and charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree. CASE# 72458-20 |
Assault- On November 22, 2020, Dep. Myers responded to the 28900 block of Hill and Dale Drive in Mechanicsville, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Lauren Rae Sylver, age 25 of Mechanicsville, assaulted the victim during an argument by throwing items at the victim, and striking the victim in the face. The victim had visible injury and Sylver was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 72573-20 |
Violate Protective Order- On November 22, 2020, Dep. Rycyzyn responded to the 45800 block of Horsehead Road in Great Mills, for the reported protective order violation. Investigation determined Marie Alexandria Ames, age 38 of no fixed address, was at the victim’s property in violation of an active court order. Motor Vehicle Theft- On November 21, 2020, Dep. Westphal conducted a traffic stop in the 24600 block of Loveville Road in Mechanicsville. The operator of the vehicle was identified to be Douglas Lee Casteel, age 41 of Clements. The vehicle was displaying tags belonging to another vehicle and it was determined during the traffic stop the vehicle was stolen. Casteel was arrested and charged with Motor Vehicle Theft and Theft. Violation of Peace Order- On November 21, 2020, Dep. Wynnyk responded to the 37800 block of Indian Creek Drive in Charlotte Hall, for the reported peace order violation. Upon arriving at the residence, contact was made with Derrick Antoine Ross-Simms, age 25 of Charlotte Hall. Ross-Simms was determined to be in violation of an active court order which prohibits him from being at the residence. Ross-Simms was arrested and charged with Violation of Peace Order. Trespassing- On November 20, 2020, DFC. Budd responded to the 21800 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance. Contact was made with Ted William Taylor Jr., age 30 of no fixed address. Employees requested Taylor leave the area, and advised deputies he was not welcome back at the establishment. Taylor was issued a notice not to trespass and left the business. Taylor returned shortly after leaving and being issued the citation. Taylor was arrested and charged with Trespassing. Assault- On November 20, 2020, Dep. Gardiner responded to the 45900 block of Foxchase Drive in Great Mills, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Francis Allen Broome, age 55 of Great Mills, struck the victim in the face during an argument. Broome was arrested and upon arriving at the detention center, two smoking devices were located in Broome’s pocket. Broome was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of Contraband at Place of Confinement. CASE# 72157-20 |
Handgun/Assault- On November 19, 2020, Dep. Forinash responded to the 45000 block of Blake Creek Road in Valley Lee, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Patrick Crawford Ridgell, age 56 of Callaway, pointed a handgun at the victim in an attempt to recover property he believed the victim possessed. Ridgell then left the residence, and was located shortly by deputies. Located in Ridgell’s vehicle was a handgun and rifle. Ridgell was arrested and charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, and Firearm Use/Violent Crime. CASE# 71946-20 |
Assault- On November 19, 2020, Dep. Palmer responded to the 44700 block of Jeeter Way in California, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Keith Adrian Allston Jr., age 45 of California, struck the victim in the face several times, causing visible injury. Allston was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. Assault- On November 17, 2020, DFC. Ball responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Francis Xavier Hill, age 24 of Lexington Park, spit on two victims and threw water on a third victim. Hill was charged with three counts of Assault 2nd Degree. Assault- On November 17, 2020, Dep. Westphal responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Diamante Raquan Butler, age 23 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by striking the victim several times in the face with a closed fist. Violation of Protective Order- On November 17, 2020, DFC. Muschette responded to the 46800 block of Rogers Drive in Lexington Park, for the check the welfare. Investigation determined Edna Renee Lyles, age 33 of Lexington Park, had repeatedly sent text messages to the victim in violation of a valid court order prohibiting Lyles from contacting the victim. Lyles was arrested and charged with Violation of Protective Order. CASE# 71149-20 |
Home Invasion- On November 15, 2020, Dep. Palmer responded to the 46400 block of Sue Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported property destruction. Investigation determined Gloria Ticas Hernandez, age 45 of Lexington Park, arrived at the residence and began banging on the door When Hernandez was not let into the residence, she broke a window and climbed into the residence. Once inside the residence, Hernandez proceeded to assault the victim by ripping the victim’s shirt and scratching the victim. Hernandez was arrested and charged with Home Invasion, Assault 2nd Degree, Burglary 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property. CASE# 71029-20 |
Violate Protective Order- On November 15, 2020, Dep. Wilhelmi responded the 45600 block of Buckshot Way in Lexington Park, for the reported protective order violation. Investigation determined Jorge Suarez Cerquera, age 26 of Lexington Park, was the respondent in a valid protective order which prohibits Cerquera from being at the victim’s residence. Cerquera was located inside the residence and arrested. Cerquera was charged with Violate Protective Order. CASE# 71010-20 |
Assault/Disorderly Conduct- On November 15, 2020, Dep. Luffey responded to the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival Dep. Luffey observed Robert Lee Driggers, age 54 of no fixed address, in front of the business yelling and creating a disturbance. Driggers was ordered to cease his behavior, but he refused to do so, and began disturbing employees and citizens in the area. As a patron exited the business, Driggers grabbed the patron and when a deputy on scene intervened, Driggers struck the deputy’s arm. Driggers was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, and Fail to Obey a Reasonable Lawful Order. CASE# 71019-20 |
Resisting Arrest/Theft- On November 15, 2020, Dep. Manns responded to the 26100 block of Independence Drive in Mechanicsville, for the report of a stolen service dog. Dep. Manns located the suspect Thomas Forest Taylor, age 26 of no fixed address, in his vehicle along with the service dog. Taylor attempted to flee from deputies, and actively resisted arrest. Taylor was arrested and charged with Theft and Resisting Arrest. CASE# 70977-20 |
Assault- On November 15, 2020, Dep. Wilhelmi responded to the 21400 block of Hillary Court in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Cody Michael Kiser, age 27 of Lexington Park, struck the victim in the face, causing visible injury. Kiser was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 70841-20 |
Assault- On November 14, 2020, Dep. Chase responded to the 46100 block of Lucca Way in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Rachel Sherie Rodriquez, age 36 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by striking the victim in the face, causing visible injury to the victim. Rodriquez was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 70801-20 |
Robbery/Drug Arrest- On November 12, 2020, DFC. Beyer responded to the 48200 block of Hillside Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported theft. Investigation determined the victim observed Michael Wade Blackistone, age 38 of Lexington Park, inside the victim’s vehicle, attempting to steal items. The victim advised Blackistone then fled on foot with his stolen property and the victim pursued him. Blackistone assaulted the victim by shoving the victim and then fled the scene. Deputies located Blackistone at his residence and he was arrested. Located on Blackistone at the time of his arrest was a suspected CDS smoking device containing a quantity of suspected cocaine. Blackistone was charged with Robbery, Rogue and Vagabond, Theft, Assault 2nd Degree, CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession-Paraphernalia. CASE# 70301-20 |
Assault/Violation of Protective Order- On November 11, 2020, Dep. Wilson responded to the 26400 block of Tin Top School Road in Mechanicsville, for the reported disturbance. While on scene, Melissa Ann Coates, age 43 of Mechanicsville, was served a protective order. The order prohibited Coates from contacting the victim and ordered Coates to vacate the residence. While gathering her belongings Coates began to yell at the victim, which is a violation of the order. Coates also attempted to spit on the victim in the presence of deputies. Coates was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Violation of Protective Order. CASE# 69993-20 |
Disorderly Conduct- On November 10, 2020, Dep. Haas was in the 21600 block of North Essex Drive in Lexington Park, and observed Simone Marie Stewart, age 46 of Lexington Park, acting in a disorderly manner, creating a public disturbance by yelling and attempting to physically assault another individual. Stewart was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. CASE# 69794-20 |
Property Destruction- On November 10, 2020, Dep. Graves responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center located in Leonardtown, for the reported property destruction. Investigation determined Anthony Warren Berry, age 35 of no fixed address, damaged the sprinkler in his cell. Berry was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property. CASE# 69750-20 |
Assault- On November 8, 2020, Dep. Katulich responded to the 23200 block of Holly Hill Lane in California, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Robert Lee Wallace, age 49 of California, assaulted the victim by striking the victim in the face and grabbing the victim’s neck, causing visible injury. Wallace was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 69347-20 |
Reckless Endangerment- On November 8, 2020, DFC. Beyer responded to the 21600 block of Liberty Street in Lexington Park, for the reported shots fired. Investigation determined the five victims were inside their apartment, when they heard a gunshot and observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in their bathroom wall. The projectile traveled through the bathroom wall and into a closet door. Contact was made with Wayne Elliott Hilliard, age 59 of Lexington Park. It was determined Hilliard had unintentionally discharged a firearm inside his residence, causing the damage to the victims’ residence. Hilliard was arrested and charged with five counts of Reckless Endangerment. CASE# 69316-20 |
Burglary/Assault- On November 7, 2020, DFC. Lawrence responded to the 21200 block of Lexwood Court in Lexington Park, for the reported burglary. Investigation determined Xavier Lavale Fields, age 28 of Hollywood, forced his way into the victim’s residence, and once inside shoved a bedroom door open, striking the victim. Fields was arrested and charged with Burglary 4th Degree and Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 69062-20 |
Handgun Arrest- On November 7, 2020, Sgt. Ellis conducted a vehicle stop in the 22000 block of Valley Estates Drive in Lexington Park. The operator of the vehicle provided a false name and the registration plates displayed on the vehicle belonged on a separate vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was identified to be Demetrie Deven Ashe, age 22 of New Jersey. It was determined during the vehicle stop the tags displayed on the vehicle were stolen. Ashe was placed under arrest and located in the vehicle was a loaded handgun. Ashe was arrested and charged with Loaded Handgun on Person, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, Handgun on Person, Fraud to Avoid Prosecution, Theft, and Obstruct and Hinder Investigation. CASE# 69025-20 |

Violate Protective Order- On November 6, 2020, Dep. Schell responded to 21900 block of Rosewood Terrace in Lexington Park, for the reported threats. Investigation determined Jonathan Jacob Resnick, age 46 of Lexington Park, threatened the victim verbally, which is in violation of a valid court order prohibiting Resnick from threatening the victim.
