UPDATE: Video Added, Police Seeking Identity of Two Suspects After Home Invasion with Shooting in Dunkirk

12/18/2020n Update with video added: The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in the Dunkirk home invasion / shooting from Monday, December 14, 2020.

Suspect # 1 was described as a slender black male, approximately 5′ 11″ to 6′ tall, wearing glasses, 20-25 years old.

Suspect #2 was described as a black male, athletic build, approximately 6′ to 6′ 2″ tall, age 17-22 years old

Calvert County Crime Solvers is offering rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of a person responsible for a crime in Calvert County.


UPDATE: Calvert County Press Release – On Monday, December 14, 2020 shortly after 3:30 a.m., Calvert County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a residence in the Dunleigh subdivision in Dunkirk, following a targeted home invasion and robbery.

Upon arrival, deputies located two adult male victims inside the residence. One victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was flown from the scene. The second victim was ground transported to a nearby hospital. Both men are in serious but stable condition.

Investigation revealed two suspects had already fled the scene in a vehicle prior to law enforcements arrival. The investigation is ongoing. 12/14/2020: On Monday, December 14, 2020, at approximately 3:40 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the 12100 block of Dunleigh Court in Dunkirk, for the reported gunshot victim.

Dispatchers reported the scene was not secure, with the 911 caller advising her brother was shot in the head.

Crews arrived on the scene to confirm at least victim with a gunshot wound to the head. Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 was pre-launched and landed nearby.

Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 transported one victim to an area trauma center in reportedly stable condition. The second victim was transported to an area hospital by ground, with Trooper 7 returning to service.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
