Gerald “Gerry” Blount Wannan,88, of Leonardtown, MD formerly from Washington, DC passed away on November 26, 2020 in Charlotte Hall, MD. He was born on January 12, 1932 in Washington, DC. Gerry was the loving son of the late Eunice Preston Wannan Russell and George Wannan. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald T. Wannan of Leonardtown, MD.
Jerry moved from Iran to St. Mary’s County, MD in 1979. He was a Master A/C Mechanic for Pan American/Iran Air, retiring in 1979 after 14 years.
Gerry served in the USCG for 4 years retiring in 1953, USAF for 10 years retiring in 1965, USN Reserves for 10 years retiring in 1990. Gerry served from 1949 to 1990 and was a member of the Mid-Eastern Parachute Association.
A Graveside Service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
