Laura Jene Morgan 60, of Lexington Park, MD passed away on December 10, 2020 at her home.
She was born on July 7, 1960 in Leonardtown, MD to the late John Webster Keenan, Sr. and Mary Helen Morgan Keenan.
Jene is a 1978 graduate of Chopticon High School. She was previously employed as a Delivery Driver for David’s Florist, and a cashier at Burchmart and the Early Bird. She enjoyed playing the slot machines at the Rod n Reel, a good card game of PITCH, dances at the American Legion, and taking long drives. She had three cats, Do-Dos, Sephus and Mittens, whom she referred to as her therapy cats. Her family was her greatest love, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Carroll (Troy) of Mechanicsville, MD and Jesse Jarvis Morgan of Lexington Park, MD, her step-children, John Morgan (Wendy) of Centreville, MD and Wendy Alls of California, MD; her siblings, John Webster Keenan, Jr. (Roberta) of Stafford, VA and Nonnie Burroughs (Mark) of Mechanicsville, MD; and seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Robin Lynette Morgan and granddaughter, Tiffany Lee Carroll.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Jesse Morgan, Trey Carroll, Troy Carroll, John Morgan, Bellamy Heinz, Joe Thorton, Lewis Quade, Jr. and Harvey Quade.
