On Friday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m., officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1800 block of Oak Drive in Waldorf for the report of the sound of gunshots.
Upon arrival, officers discovered bullet holes in the siding of one house. Although there were people inside, no one was injured.
A preliminary investigation revealed two men walked up to the house and fired at it.
This does not appear to be a random event.
Officers have increased patrols in the area and detectives are tracking down leads.

On Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 6:58 p.m., officers responded to the area of Cardigan Court in Waldorf for the report of the sound of gunshots.
Officers located several shell casings in the area and located a house that had bullet holes in the siding.
There were people in the house; however, no one was injured. A preliminary investigation showed the suspects were on foot when they fired several rounds at the house and fled.
