On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at approximately 6:55 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Charlotte Hall School Road in Charlotte Hall, for the motor vehicle collision reported serious with one vehicle overturned and one patient trapped.
Crews arrived on the scene to find two vehicles in the roadway with one overturned with a single occupant trapped.
Firefighters extricated the single patient in under 5 minutes.
Ambulance 296C transported one patient to an area trauma center. During the transport, the ambulance blew a tire and an ambulance from Prince George’s County responded to the scene to transfer the patient to their ambulance and completed the transport to the trauma center.
One patient was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and is handling the crash investigation.
