David Allen Landavazo, Sr., 52

November 15, 2021

David Allen Landavazo, Sr., 52, passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 22, 2021. He was born on January 12, 1969, in Flagstaff, Arizona to Raymond Reidys Cancino and Mary Ann Barela. He was one (1) of three (3) children.

After David graduated high school, he served his country proud by joining the United States Air Force in 1988. He served as a Cardio Pulmonary Lab Tech, receiving an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. He was honorably discharged in 1992 and went to work as a Respiratory Therapist.

David was a passionate man, with an outstanding work ethic. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and an ear to whoever needed advice. When he wasn’t working, he found joy in hunting and fishing on a warm summer day or tending to his garden. David did always have a hard time sitting down for a long period of time, so he would spend his evenings tinkering with things around the house or tending to his livestock. He liked the busy energy or the auction house and would often be found bidding on a few items here and there but it was mostly to admire antiques and the history behind them. He loved to learn and had many hobbies, but nothing made him happier, than being a proud and devoted father to his three (3) sons. Although his time ran out, the memories of his life will continue for generations and shine though the eyes of his family.

He is survived by his mother Mary Ann Barela of Flagstaff, AZ; his sons, David Allen Landavazo of Mechanicsville, MD, Nicholas Andrew Landavazo of Severna Park, MD and Alexander Paul Landavazo of Leonardtown, MD and his Sisters Anita Cancino of Flagstaff, AZ and Debbie Landavazo of Flagstaff, AZ. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Reidys Cancino.

The family will be accepting friends for David’s Memorial Gathering Wednesday, January 12, 2021 at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd, Mechanicsville, MD 20622 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Services starting at 11:00 a.m.
