On Thursday, December 30, 2021, at approximately 11:18 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of 30431 Point Lookout Road and Earnshaw Way in Helen, for the motor vehicle collision reported serious with one trapped.
19 personnel from Mechanicsville and Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene and found two vehicles involved in a head-on style collision and reported no victims were trapped.
Two patients were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded and handled the crash investigation.
