On Saturday, May 21, 2022, at approximately 9:55 p.m., firefighters from Waldorf, La Plata, Hughesville and surrounding departments responded to 3403 Whitefir Court in Waldorf, for the reported structure fire.
Crews arrived on the scene in under 4 minutes and found fire showing from a 2-story residence.
The fire started on the exterior of the structure and extended into thee attic/roofing area. Firefighters controlled the fire in 15 minutes.
55 firefighters responded and extinguished the fire in under 25 minutes.
The owner/occupant is identified as Wendy Lancaster. The estimated loss of structure and contents is valued at $55,000.00
Investigation determined the occupant of the residence discovered the fire. The residence was occupied at the time of the fire and all occupants escaped without injury. The incident remains under investigation.
