On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at approximately 2:37 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Point Lookout Road in the area of Foley Mattingly Road in Helen, for the motor vehicle collision reported serious with one vehicle overturned with multiple trapped.
Firefighters from Leonardtown and Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire responded to the scene and located two vehicles involved with a vehicle overturned with one occupant trapped.
Crews extricated the victim in under 15 minutes and requested a helicopter for the victims injuries.
Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 landed nearby and transported one victim to an area trauma center.
One patient signed care refusal forms on the scene.
