On January 9th just prior to 6:00 p.m.,, police, fire and rescue personnel responded to Leonardtown Road in the area of Ryan town Road for the motor vehicle collision.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle on its side, off the roadway with the single occupant trapped.
The assignment was upgraded to a serious motor vehicle collision with entrapment, bringing Engine 22 and surrounding units to assist.
Squad 2 went to work removing the windshield and part of the roof with the crew from Engine 22 upon their arrival.
Once the occupant was freed from the wreckage, they were evaluated by Paramedic Ambulance 28 and was released on the scene.
Charles County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation into the collision.
