On Monday, September 18, 2023, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Hughesville Volunteers had a citizen drive their vehicle to the station requesting assistance with a cat possibly trapped in the vehicle.
Firefighters utilized tools to lift and stabilize the vehicle where they eventually located a cat above the rear axle.
Crews safely removed the cat which had no injuries.
