Christopher Joseph True, 60 of Great Mills, MD passed away on October 13, 2023 at his home with his wife at his side.
He was born on July 26, 1963 in Queens, NY to the late Joseph Bunce True and Betsy Anne Waite True.
Chris is a 1981 graduate of Walter Panas High School and a graduate of Mercy College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a minor in Computer Science. On November 30, 1996, he married his beloved wife, Jennifer True, in Mohegan Lake, New York. Together they celebrated over 27 wonderful years of marriage. He was employed as the Assistant Vice President of Finance at St. Mary’s College. He enjoyed remote controlled electric planes/jets and woodworking. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Electric” for his love of building and controlling the planes. He made many pieces of furniture for the family home and a pirate chest for his son when he was young. He and his wife enjoyed watching detective shows on Brit Box every evening to end their day. In the summer he liked to lounge in the family pool.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; son, Nicholas Ryan True (Anna Kathleen Camper) of Lexington Park, MD; sisters, Linda Garnett (Wade) of East Islip, NY and Pamela Goodwin (Peter) of Rensselaer, NY, and his brother, Timothy True (Maria) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service celebrated by Reverend Greg Sylar at 6:00 p.m., at St. George Episcopal Church, 19167 Poplar Hill Lane, Valley Lee, MD 20692.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christopher’s name to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
