On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Edna Mae Grimaldi went home to be with our Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully at the University of Maryland, Charles Regional Medical Center in LaPlata, Maryland. Edna was preceded by her husband Louis Grimaldi, and her parents John Emory and Dorothy Mae Littleford. Edna is survived by her siblings, John (Mary Ann), Barbara (Fred deceased), Jimmy (Sandy), and Cecil (Cookie); her children Frank (Jeanette), Anna, and stepson Ray. She had six grandchildren, Joe, Andrew, Joshua, Robert, Faith, and Roman.
Edna was the eldest of five siblings. After graduating from Suitland High School, she was living with her parents and working with her sister Bobbi at Hecht Co. in Marlow Heights, Maryland, where she met the love of her life, Lou. She and Lou bought their first home in Brandywine, where Edna was able to stay home and raise her children.
Edna enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, doing ceramics, and going to Bingo. Edna and Lou moved to Pinefield in Waldorf and built a home right across the street from her sister and brother-in-law, Bobbi and Fred, in 1996. They spent many wonderful times together. Edna’s daughter, Anna moved in years later and became her lifeline, best friend, and caregiver until her last day.
