UPDATE 4/11/2024: On April 10 at 7:15 p.m., officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a shooting.
A preliminary investigation revealed an adult male shot another adult male, both of whom are known to each other.
The shooter was detained, and the injured male was transported to a hospital with injuries that were later determined to be non-life-threatening.
Through further investigation and in consultation with the Charles County State’s Attorney’s Office, charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.

4/10/2024: Detectives are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Crain Highway, in Waldorf.
An adult male was shot and wounded by an adult male who is known to him.
Officers apprehended the shooter.
The victim was flown to a hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
