Benjamin (Ben) Todd Eyster, 49, of Leonardtown, MD, passed away suddenly at his home on May 30, 2024.

Benjamin was born on August 8, 1974, to the late Harry Otis Eyster and Michele Andrea (Zepp) Eyster of Sykesville, MD.

After graduating from Liberty High School in 1992, Ben went on to work for the government and then shortly after pursued a position with BGE which brought him to St. Mary’s where he met is loving wife Crystal (Chrissie). Ben decided that he needed to make a career move and joined the Steamfitters Union, Local 602 where he became a Forman for Southland Industries.

On October 14, 2005, Ben married his sweetheart, Crystal (Chrissie) and they went on to have three beautiful children, Kyle, Colton and Brooklynn. If Ben wasn’t spending time with his family teaching his kids the things they loved such as welding, baseball, football, volleyball, and most importantly being a respectful, loving, hardworking human being. You could find him coaching young athletes on how to be a Baseball Catcher like his son Cole. He enjoyed hanging out with close friends, smoking meat/playing cards or snuggling up with his 4 legged babies.

He is survived by his loving wife Crystal (Chrissie) Eyster, his children Kyle Eyster, Colton Eyster and Brooklynn Eyster all of Leonardtown, MD; his mother Michele Eyster and brother Daniel Eyster both of Sykesville, MD; His Father and Mother in-law Don (Duck) Haggard and Susan Haggard of Lexington Park MD; his brother in-law George (Bo) Haggard (Helen) from Leonardtown MD and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Harry Otis Eyster; Brother In-law Joseph (Joey) Haggard and his grandparents.

The visitation will be held at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650 on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 1:00pm to 3:00p.m., and Pastor Chris McCombs will be officiating the Memorial Service at 3:00p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to help with the funeral expenses.
