Maryland Casinos Generate $151.8 Million in Gaming Revenue During January 2025

Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $151,795,660 in revenue from slot machines and table games during January 2025, a decrease of $1,447,656 (-0.9%) compared to January 2024.

Casino gaming contributions to the state during January 2025 totaled $63,651,034, an increase of $496,642 (0.8%) compared to January 2024. The January 2025 contributions included $45,992,850 to the Education Trust Fund, an increase of $343,541 (0.7%) compared to January 2024.

Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.

Maryland’s six privately owned casinos offer both slot machines and table games: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County; Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County; Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City; Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County; Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County; and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.

The gaming revenue totals for January 2025 were as follows:

MGM National Harbor (2,286 slot machines, 211 table games)

$67,583,944 in January 2025, an increase of $1,542,470 (2.3%) from January 2024

Live! Casino & Hotel (3,791 slot machines, 179 table games)

$55,144,097 in January 2025, a decrease of $1,637,994 (-2.9%) from January 2024

Horseshoe Casino (1,337 slot machines, 115 table games)

$13,426,884 in January 2025, a decrease of $1,143,724 (-7.8%) from January 2024

Hollywood Casino (732 slot machines, 23 table games)

$6,619,864 in January 2025, an increase of $64,513 (1.0%) from January 2024

Ocean Downs Casino (880 slot machines, 19 table games)

$5,711,548 in January 2025, a decrease of $393,787 (-6.4%) from January 2024

Rocky Gap Casino (630 slot machines, 16 table games)

$3,309,323 in January 2025, an increase of $120,866 (3.8%) from January 2024
