On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:55 p.m., a Maryland State Trooper reported they were involved in a crash on Northbound Crain Highway near Plaza Way in Waldorf.
Police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the scene, with first arriving units finding a pedestrian in the roadway and not breathing.
First Responders pronounced the victim deceased on the scene within minutes of their arrival.
The collision remains under investigation.
The Trooper was evaluated by EMS, however, it is unknown if they were transported or refused care.
