Kelly Greenan, 36, of Leonardtown, and Lauren Marie Brown, 38, of Lusby, have both been charged with multiple drug-related offenses following an investigation by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office into alleged narcotics distribution activity in Lusby.
According to court records, Brown is charged with distribution of narcotics, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Greenan faces similar charges, including distribution of narcotics, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an additional charge of possession of contraband in a place of confinement.
According to charging documents, the investigation began earlier in January 2026 after an adult male victim was found deceased in Lusby. Detectives later determined the death may have been related to a drug overdose and began reviewing phone records connected to the victim. Messages recovered from the phone allegedly showed attempts to obtain narcotics, including texts such as “I have them now just letting know,” and “All good gave Kurt your bread that’s all right.”
Investigators identified Greenan as a person allegedly involved in arranging drug transactions. According to court documents, Greenan communicated with the victim about supplying controlled substances, agreeing to meet after the victim requested “ten (10) Subutex and ‘a couple caps.’” Additional messages allegedly sent by Greenan included “We’re pulling out of Jared’s driveway now” and “We’re about to pull in,” which investigators say indicated coordination of a meeting to deliver narcotics.
Detectives also reported that surveillance and phone data placed Greenan in the Lusby area during the time of the alleged transactions. During one surveillance operation in February 2026, investigators observed what they described as a hand-to-hand exchange in a parking area along HG Trueman Road. According to reports, Greenan handed an item to an individual, who then passed it to another person in a nearby vehicle, behavior consistent with drug distribution, according to investigators.
On March 19, 2026, deputies conducted surveillance near HG Trueman Road and observed another suspected transaction. An adult male was stopped shortly after leaving a residence and allegedly discarded capsules later identified as heroin. The individual told deputies he had just purchased the drugs from Greenan and Brown, stating he paid $25 for the capsules.
Authorities then conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of HG Trueman Road and Cove Point Road. Brown, identified as the driver, was taken into custody without incident. Greenan, seated in the passenger seat, was also taken into custody after initially refusing to exit the vehicle, according to court documents.
During the encounter, Greenan allegedly made statements to deputies, including saying that “Jarred” had “snitched” on her, according to charging documents.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered suspected heroin, prescription pills, and numerous items associated with drug use and distribution. Investigators reported recovering Suboxone strips, oxycodone pills, a spoon with suspected heroin residue, and cash from Greenan’s area of the vehicle. Additional items found in the vehicle included suspected heroin capsules, glass smoking devices, a digital scale, cutting agents, and packaging materials. Items recovered from Brown’s area included containers with residue, buprenorphine pills, and multiple smoking devices, according to authorities.
Detectives noted in their report that neither Brown nor Greenan were found with items typically associated with personal drug use, which they stated suggested the substances were intended for distribution.
Both women were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center following their arrests. Court records show each was ordered held without bond.
A preliminary hearing for both defendants is scheduled for April 17, 2026, in Calvert District Court. Additional proceedings in Greenan’s case included a bail review hearing held March 23, 2026.
