Man Detained After Suspicious Activity Reported at Chancellors Run Park Bathroom at Little League Opening Day

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of suspicious activity that occurred Saturday morning at Chancellors Run Regional Park in Great Mills.

According to officials, the incident was reported at approximately 9 a.m. as deputies were already on-site providing security for the St. Mary’s Little League Opening Day ceremonies.

Deputies responded to a report of a man allegedly engaging in suspicious behavior inside a park restroom. Authorities confirmed that one individual was detained at the scene.

The investigation remains active and is being handled by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. No additional details about the nature of the activity or potential charges have been released at this time.

Officials are asking anyone who was in the area during the time of the incident and may have witnessed anything unusual to come forward.
