On Thursday, April 23, 2026, at approximately 9:02 p.m., Paramedic Ambulance 209 was dispatched to a medical call in Indian Head. While responding, they came across a working structure fire and requested the assignment be dispatched.
Firefighters from Indian Head VFD, NDW Indian Head and surrounding departments were dispatched to the 20 block of Park Square Drive in Indian Head for the reported structure on fire.
EMS advised a shed to the rear of the townhomes was fully engulfed with no current extensions to the homes.
Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene to confirm a shed fully engulfed with extensions to a fence, with no extensions to any of the 15+ residences.
The fire was extinguished in under 15 minutes from dispatch.
No injuries were reported. The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal was contacted, however, they did not respond to the scene.
