On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at approximately 10:10 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the area of 6031 Brandywine Road in Hughesville, for the reported motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
Multiple 911 callers reported an unknown aged male was struck by a vehicle with the victim not moving in the roadway. An additional caller reported the pedestrian jumped in front of the involved vehicle and looked to be deceased.
Crews arrived on the scene to confirm one victim laying in the roadway with the striking vehicle remaining on the scene.
Emergency medical services pronounced the victim deceased a short time after their arrival.
Police performed traffic reconstruction and are continuing the investigation into the incident.
