On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at approximately 10:15 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the intersection of Pegg Road and West Westbury Boulevard in Lexington Park, for the reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a three vehicle collision, with two in a head-on style collision.
Firefighters and emergency medical services from Bay District, Lexington Park VRS, Second District VRS, and Hollywood VRS evaluated a total of 8 patients on the scene.
Two patients signed care refusal forms on the scene. Six patients were transported to area hospitals with all believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses and statements provided to police reported the transit van was travelling onto Pegg Road from West Westbury Boulevard when it entered Pegg Road and struck one vehicle, resulting in a head-on style collision between the Dodge Caravan and Hyundai sedan.
Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded and handled the crash report. It is unknown if any traffic citations were issued.
