On Sunday, April 26, 2026, at approximately 5:35 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the Saint Peters Episcopal Church located at 14590 Solomons Island Road in Solomons, for the serious motor vehicle collision involving the structure with entrapment.
911 callers reported a vehicle struck the rear of the church with one occupant trapped in the vehicle.
Crews arrived on the scene to confirm a single vehicle struck the rear of the church, the A/C unit, and the buildings gas lines, and found no entrapment.
EMS evaluated the elderly occupants and obtained care refusal forms on the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision. A county building inspector was requested to the scene to evaluate the structural damage.
