Anglers are invited to take part in Benedict’s 3rd Annual Catfish Tournament on Saturday, May 2, 2026, with a rain date scheduled for May 9.
The tournament will take place along the Patuxent River, with fishing hours running from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants will then head to the firehouse for weigh-in from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tournament Categories and Fees
Two categories are available:
- Boat Category – Entry Fee: $100 per boat
- Shore/Kayak Category
Adults: $25 per person, Children (under 15): $15 per child,
Prizes
- Boat Category
- 1st & 2nd Place: Heaviest Fish
- 5-Fish Stringer: Heaviest Combined Weight
Shore/Kayak & Kids
- 1st & 2nd Place: Heaviest Fish
An optional Calcutta for Biggest Fish will also be available for a $10 entry fee, with all proceeds awarded to the winner.
Important Information – All participants must have a valid Maryland fishing license and follow all state fishing regulations.
